Activites for Family Getaway at Earthshine Mountain Lodge
All of these activites are appropriate for all ages and all are available on a 'Day-Use' basis.
Pioneer Morning: Go back in time to the 1840's where survival depends on your brain and your hands. Enjoy a fun filled morning of Blacksmithing, Cider Making, Candle Dipping and much, much more as we learn the basics of the pioneer lifestyle. The whole family from the youngest to the oldest can enjoy the morning.

Learn to survive a simple existance and have great fun learning to make pottery, throw tomahaks many other activities to live closer to the land. Fun for the whole family, our village helps us understand those peoples who came before, and to take pride and a sense of accomplishment from working for survival. |

Turtle Tracking: Ever watch nature programs and wish you could use high tech equipment to better your understanding of our world? Now's your chance! Join Steve and track down our radio tagged box turtes and help him to gather information that he uses to help our state wildlife department keep track of these amazing and endangered animals.

| Creek Hike: Explore the hidden treasures of Crystal Creek...from the middle of it! Put on your water shoes and hike up the middle of one of the prettiest creeks in North Carolina. Once you reach the headwaters, go mining for gems then slide down our natural rock slide. |

| Family Adventure Course: During the school year Earthshine hosts field trips for groups to work on team building, communication and to have fun! We figure the same activites will work for families too! You'll be amazed at the creative solutions you and your family can come up with to our varied challenges. |
